About the Tatra 10

The Tatra 10 was the successor to the NW Type U and holds the distinction of being the first model produced under the Tatra brand name following the company's rebranding from Nesselsdorfer Wagenbau-Fabriks-Gesellschaft. It was a high-end luxury vehicle powered by a sophisticated 5.3-litre overhead-cam engine, a rarity for the early 1920s. The chassis retained a traditional ladder frame, predating Hans Ledwinka's famous backbone chassis design seen in the smaller Tatra 11. Its performance and build quality earned it a reputation as the 'Czech Rolls-Royce' among the Central European elite.
