About the Suzuki Liana

The Suzuki Liana, an acronym for 'Life In A New Age', was a practical but otherwise unremarkable compact car that achieved unexpected global fame. It served as the 'Reasonably Priced Car' for the first seven series of the rebooted Top Gear television programme, driven by dozens of celebrities around the Dunsfold Aerodrome track. While the road car was noted for its tall 'aerovantage' styling and digital dashboard, it was primarily valued for its reliability and interior space rather than performance. In 2004, the model received a facelift that replaced the digital instruments with conventional analogue dials and updated the exterior styling.
