About the Subaru XV GT
The second-generation Subaru XV (GT) introduced the e-Boxer mild-hybrid powertrain to the European market in 2019, combining a traditional 2.0-litre horizontally opposed engine with a small electric motor integrated into the CVT. Built on the Subaru Global Platform, it offers significantly improved structural rigidity and safety over its predecessor, consistently earning top marks in Euro NCAP testing. While the hybrid system provides only modest fuel savings, the XV remains a standout in the compact crossover segment for its permanent Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and 220mm of ground clearance. It is highly regarded by collectors and rural drivers for its 'go-anywhere' utility and the comprehensive EyeSight driver assistance suite.

- The XV was rebranded globally as the Crosstrek starting with the third generation in 2023, retiring the XV nameplate after a decade of use.
