About the Subaru Impreza 22B STi
Built to celebrate Subaru's 40th anniversary and its third consecutive WRC manufacturers' title, the 22B is the ultimate road-going expression of the GC8-generation Impreza. It features a bespoke wide-body shell designed by Peter Stevens, an enlarged 2.2-litre EJ22G engine, and a unique Bilstein suspension setup. While officially rated at 280 PS to satisfy the Japanese 'Gentlemen's Agreement', real-world output is widely considered to exceed 300 hp. Its rarity and direct link to Colin McRae's rally dominance have made it one of the most coveted Japanese collector cars in existence.
