About the SsangYong Rexton Y400
The Y400-generation Rexton marked a significant move upmarket for SsangYong, replacing the long-running first-generation model with a more refined and technologically advanced SUV. Despite its modernised interior and Pininfarina-influenced cabin details, it retains a traditional body-on-frame construction, making it a robust choice for off-roading and heavy-duty tasks. It is particularly noted for its 3.5-tonne towing capacity, which rivals much more expensive luxury SUVs. The 2.2-litre e-XDi diesel engine provides ample torque, paired with a Mercedes-sourced 7G-Tronic automatic transmission for smooth power delivery.
