About the Kia Sportage QL
The fourth-generation Kia Sportage (QL) marked a significant step forward for the brand, moving away from its budget roots toward a more sophisticated, European-influenced design. The GT-Line trim was introduced to offer a sportier aesthetic, featuring 'ice cube' LED fog lights, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a more aggressive grille. Under the bonnet, the 1.6-litre T-GDi engine provided a punchy alternative to the ubiquitous diesels, paired with a smooth dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. While not a performance car, its composed handling and high equipment levels made it a massive commercial success and a staple of the compact SUV segment.
