About the SEAT Toledo Mk3
The third-generation SEAT Toledo abandoned the traditional three-box saloon shape of its predecessors for a controversial 'high-roof' design penned by Walter de Silva. Sharing its PQ35 platform with the Volkswagen Golf Mk5 and the SEAT Altea, it was intended to blend the attributes of a hatchback and a compact MPV. The 1.6-litre MPI engine served as the entry-level petrol option, offering proven but modest performance. Despite its practical 500-litre boot and spacious cabin, the Mk3 Toledo struggled to find an audience and was eventually replaced by the more conventional, Exeo saloon.
