About the Chevrolet Agile

Developed by GM do Brasil and manufactured in Argentina, the Chevrolet Agile was designed specifically for the emerging South American market. It utilised the ageing GM4200 platform, derived from the 1990s Opel Corsa B, but featured a modernised 'floating roof' design and increased ground clearance to handle poor road conditions. The 1.4-litre Econo.Flex engine was a highlight, capable of running on both petrol and ethanol, providing versatility for regional owners. Despite its commercial success, the Agile was often criticised for its lack of modern safety features and was eventually replaced by the more advanced Chevrolet Onix.
