About the SEAT 600
The SEAT 600 D, introduced in 1963, was the most significant evolution of Spain's beloved 'Pelotilla'. Built under licence from Fiat, it featured a larger 767cc engine that provided a necessary boost in power for Spanish families traversing the country's developing road network. While it retained the iconic 'suicide doors' until 1970, the D trim offered improved interior appointments and greater reliability. It remains a cultural icon of the Spanish economic miracle, representing the first taste of mobility for millions.
