About the Saab 9-5

The second-generation Saab 9-5, known as the YS3G, was the final model launched before the brand's collapse under Spyker ownership. Built on General Motors' Epsilon II platform, it featured a distinctive 'wraparound' glasshouse and a full-width rear LED light bar that became its signature design trait. The 2.0 TiD variant utilised a Fiat-sourced Multijet diesel engine, offering a balance of efficiency and torque for the executive market. Despite its modern tech like a head-up display and 'Night Panel' mode, production was cut short in 2011, making these cars rare sights on modern roads.
