About the Saab 9-4X
The Saab 9-4X was the brand's first and only mid-size crossover, developed alongside the Cadillac SRX during the final years of General Motors' ownership. Despite sharing a platform, it featured distinct Scandinavian styling, including a wraparound windshield and 'ice-block' headlights, alongside a driver-centric cockpit typical of the brand. Production was tragically cut short after just nine months due to Saab's bankruptcy, leaving it as one of the rarest series-production vehicles in modern history. The 3.0i trim utilized a naturally aspirated GM-sourced V6, offering a smooth but heavy driving experience that prioritised comfort over the sportiness found in the turbocharged Aero models.
