About the Riley Two-Point-Six
The Riley Two-Point-Six was the final flagship saloon to carry the Riley diamond badge before the marque was fully absorbed into BMC's badge-engineering strategy. Replacing the Pathfinder, it shared its body and chassis with the Wolseley 6/90 Series III but featured a traditional Riley grille and a more luxurious interior with walnut and leather. Under the bonnet, the characterful Riley 'Big Four' engine was replaced by the smoother but less powerful 2.6-litre C-Series straight-six. While it offered a refined and dignified driving experience, its lack of distinct Riley mechanical identity led to a short production run of just two years.

Riley Two-Point-Six fun facts
- Unlike its predecessor the Pathfinder, the Two-Point-Six featured a fixed grille that did not lift with the bonnet.
- Right-hand drive manual models featured an unusual gear lever positioned to the right of the driver's seat, a carry-over from the Pathfinder's sporting layout.
- The model was so closely related to the Wolseley 6/90 that many parts, including the entire body shell, were identical between the two cars.
