About the Renault Grand Scenic Mk4
The fourth-generation Renault Grand Scenic, launched in 2016, marked a radical departure from traditional MPV styling by adopting crossover cues, most notably standard 20-inch wheels across all trims. Built on the CMF-C/D platform, it offered a more premium cabin and improved safety technology compared to its predecessors. The 1.3-litre TCe engine, co-developed with Daimler, was introduced in late 2017 to replace the older 1.2-litre units, offering better low-end torque and efficiency. While it retained the practical seven-seat layout, the Mk4 prioritised design and road presence, eventually becoming one of the last traditional European MPVs before Renault transitioned the nameplate to an electric SUV.
