About the Toyota Picnic XM10

Launched before the Renault Scénic popularised the sector, the Toyota Picnic (known as the Ipsum in Japan) was a pioneer of the compact MPV. Based on the Carina platform, it offered a car-like driving experience with a versatile six or seven-seat interior layout. The 2.0-litre 3S-FE engine, shared with the RAV4, provided dependable performance and surprising agility for its height. While often overlooked by collectors, its reputation for bulletproof reliability and clever packaging makes it a cult classic for those valuing 1990s Japanese engineering.
