About the Renault Grand Scénic Mk2
Launched in 2004 as the extended-wheelbase sibling to the second-generation Scenic, the Grand Scenic was Renault's answer to the growing demand for compact seven-seaters. It featured a 23cm longer body than the standard model, allowing for two fold-flat rearmost seats that tucked into the boot floor. The 1.5 dCi engine was updated in mid-2005 to 106hp, gaining a six-speed manual gearbox to improve refinement and fuel efficiency. While not a performance vehicle, it was highly regarded for its ride comfort, vast glass area, and innovative interior storage solutions like the sliding centre console.
