About the Porsche Cayman GT4 981
The 981 Cayman GT4 was a landmark moment for Porsche, marking the first time the Motorsport division in Weissach was permitted to develop a Cayman. It borrowed the 3.8-litre flat-six from the 911 Carrera S and the front suspension from the 991 GT3, creating a purist-focused machine available exclusively with a manual gearbox. Its mid-engine balance, combined with GT-grade chassis tuning and aggressive aerodynamics, made it an instant icon that many enthusiasts prefer over its more powerful successors. As a limited-production model, it remains one of the most sought-after modern Porsches for its raw, mechanical driving experience.
