About the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport C4
Released to commemorate the end of C4 production, the 1996 Grand Sport revived a legendary nameplate from Corvette racing history. It is powered by the one-year-only LT4 V8 engine, which featured a higher compression ratio and freer-flowing cylinder heads than the standard LT1. All 1,000 units were finished in Admiral Blue with a white centre stripe and distinctive red 'hash marks' on the front left fender. The Coupé versions are particularly noted for their rear wheel arch flares, necessitated by the fitment of wider 315-section tyres from the ZR-1.
