About the Porsche 911 SC/RS
Developed under Jürgen Barth to meet FIA Group B homologation requirements, the 911 SC/RS (Type 954) is one of the rarest and most focused 911 variants ever produced. It utilizes a reinforced 930 Turbo-specification wide body but sheds significant weight through the use of aluminium panels, thin Glaverbel glass, and a stripped-out interior. The 3.0-litre engine features Bosch-Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection and 935-derived cylinder heads, delivering a visceral, high-revving experience. While only 21 were built, they achieved significant success in the Middle East Rally Championship and served as the bridge to Porsche's legendary 959 programme.
