About the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 997
The 911 GT3 RS 4.0 is the final and most extreme evolution of the 997-generation 911. It features a 4.0-litre flat-six with the crankshaft from the RSR race car, titanium connecting rods, and a 500hp output—the highest ever for a naturally aspirated 911 at its launch. Weight-saving measures include a carbon-fibre bonnet and front wings, resulting in a 1,360kg kerb weight. It is revered by collectors as the pinnacle of the 'analogue' era, combining hydraulic steering, a manual gearbox, and the legendary Mezger engine. Only 600 units were produced, making it one of the most sought-after modern Porsches.
