About the Peugeot iOn
Launched in late 2010, the Peugeot iOn was one of the first modern, highway-capable electric vehicles available to European consumers. Developed as part of a joint venture with Mitsubishi and Citroën, it is a rebadged version of the Mitsubishi i-MiEV, featuring a rear-mounted motor and rear-wheel drive layout. Its narrow body and tall roofline were designed specifically for tight urban environments, offering a remarkably small turning circle and easy parking. While its range and performance are modest by modern standards, it remains a significant milestone in the transition to mass-market electromobility.
