About the Peugeot 807
The Peugeot 807 was part of the 'Eurovan' project, a joint venture between PSA and Fiat that also produced the Citroën C8, Fiat Ulysse, and Lancia Phedra. Launched in 2002 to replace the 806, it focused on safety and practicality, becoming the first MPV to achieve a five-star Euro NCAP rating. The 2.0 HDi engine, particularly in its 136 PS guise introduced in 2006, provided the necessary torque to move the heavy chassis while maintaining reasonable fuel economy. While praised for its airy interior and clever seating arrangements, the model was often criticised for its complex electronics and patchy reliability record.
