About the Peugeot 308 T9
The second-generation Peugeot 308 (T9) marked a significant shift for the brand, moving towards a more premium market position with its minimalist 'i-Cockpit' interior. Built on the EMP2 platform, it was significantly lighter and more agile than its predecessor, earning it the 2014 European Car of the Year title. The 1.2-litre PureTech three-cylinder engine is a standout, offering surprising punch and character for its size thanks to a high torque output from low revs. While the small steering wheel and high-set dials divided opinion, the 308's refined ride and class-leading boot space made it a strong contender against the Volkswagen Golf.
