About the Peugeot 203

The Peugeot 203 was the brand's first all-new post-war design and its first production model to feature monocoque construction. Its distinctive fastback styling was heavily influenced by American trends of the late 1940s, specifically the Chevrolet Fleetline, yet it remained quintessentially French in its engineering. The 1.3-litre engine was advanced for its time, featuring hemispherical combustion chambers and an alloy cylinder head. Renowned for its exceptional durability and comfortable ride, the 203 proved its mettle in grueling endurance rallies, including a record-breaking 15,000 km run from Cape Town to Paris in 1953.
