About the Panhard Dyna Z
The Panhard Dyna Z was a revolutionary exercise in efficiency, featuring a wind-tunnel-honed body with a drag coefficient of just 0.26. Early 1954 models were constructed almost entirely from Duralinox aluminium alloy, allowing the 851cc flat-twin engine to propel a full six-passenger saloon to 80 mph. Its advanced front-wheel-drive layout and torsion-bar valve springs showcased Panhard's engineering prowess, though high production costs eventually forced a transition to steel bodywork by 1957. Today, it is prized by collectors for its quirky Gallic charm and remarkably modern road manners.
