About the Oldsmobile Cutlass
The sixth-generation Cutlass Supreme, built on the GM W-body platform, marked a radical departure from its boxy predecessors with a sleek, aerodynamic design. While the Cutlass Ciera continued to serve traditional buyers, the Supreme targeted a younger demographic with features like mini-quad headlamps and a wrap-around rear window. The 3.1-litre LH0 V6 was the mainstay engine for 1990, providing smooth if unhurried performance through a four-speed automatic. Though it lacked the sporting edge of its European rivals, it remains a quintessential example of late-20th-century American mid-size luxury.
