About the Nissan Quest V42
The third-generation Nissan Quest (V42) was a radical departure from its conservative predecessors, featuring a bold, elongated exterior and a highly unconventional interior with a centrally mounted instrument cluster. Built on the FF-L platform shared with the Altima and Maxima, it was powered by the acclaimed VQ35DE V6 engine, famously used in the 350Z sports car. Despite its performance credentials and innovative 'Skyview' glass roof panels, the Quest's polarizing design and early reliability issues hindered its commercial success against more traditional rivals. Today, it is remembered as one of the most daring attempts to redefine the minivan aesthetic.
