About the Morris Isis Series II
The Morris Isis Series II was the short-lived flagship of the Morris line, essentially a six-cylinder version of the Oxford Series III. It featured a lengthened wheelbase and bonnet to accommodate the BMC C-Series engine, shared with the Austin Westminster and Austin-Healey 100-6. The Series II is distinguished by its vestigial tailfins and a unique right-hand floor-mounted gear lever, a departure from the column shifts common at the time. Despite its smooth power delivery and improved styling over the Series I, it struggled to find a market against its BMC stablemates and was discontinued after just two years.
