About the Mini Countryman R60
The R60 Countryman was a landmark model for Mini, representing the brand's first foray into the compact crossover segment and the first to feature four conventional doors. Built by Magna Steyr in Austria, it retained the brand's signature 'go-kart' handling characteristics despite its increased ride height and larger footprint. The Cooper trim features the naturally aspirated 1.6-litre N16 engine, offering a balance of efficiency and accessible performance. While controversial at launch for its size, it quickly became Mini's second best-selling model, proving the market demand for a more practical, family-oriented Mini.
