About the Honda BR-V
The second-generation Honda BR-V, introduced in late 2021, evolved from its MPV-based predecessor into a more rugged subcompact crossover. Built on a platform shared with the Amaze, it features a 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC engine and a focus on cabin space, offering three rows of seating in a compact footprint. It was developed by Honda R&D Asia Pacific to meet the demands of Southeast Asian and South African markets, prioritising ground clearance and fuel efficiency. The DG3 generation marked a significant step up in safety technology, introducing the Honda Sensing suite to the model for the first time.
