About the Mini Cooper J01
The J01-generation Mini Cooper E represents a significant shift for the brand, being the first Mini built on a dedicated electric vehicle platform developed in partnership with Great Wall Motor. Unlike its predecessor, which adapted an internal combustion chassis, the J01 features a flat-floor battery design that improves interior space and lowers the centre of gravity. The entry-level 'E' variant balances efficiency and performance, utilizing a 40.7 kWh battery to provide a range of approximately 190 miles (WLTP). It retains the brand's signature 'go-kart' handling through sharp steering and a wide track, while the interior is dominated by a world-first circular OLED infotainment display.
