About the MG RV8
The MG RV8 was a low-volume project by Rover Special Products designed to bridge the gap between the classic MGB and the modern MGF. Built using brand-new Heritage MGB body shells, it featured significantly widened wings, Porsche 911-sourced headlamps, and a luxurious interior trimmed in Connolly leather and elm burr veneer. Under the bonnet sat the 3.9-litre Rover V8, providing a relaxed but potent character that transformed the car into a high-speed cruiser. Despite its retro roots, the RV8 was a hit in Japan, where nearly 80% of the production run was exported. It remains a unique 'factory restomod' that offers classic British charm with improved 1990s build quality.
