About the Mazda Porter
The Mazda Porter, known as the E360 in export markets, was a significant evolution of the earlier B360, featuring entirely new body panels while retaining its predecessor's mechanical heart. This 1972 model utilizes a rare 358cc four-stroke inline-four engine, a configuration that was eventually replaced by a two-stroke twin in 1973 to meet evolving performance demands. As a classic Kei truck, it offers a minimalist driving experience defined by its lightweight chassis and compact dimensions, making it a favourite among JDM collectors. Its simple leaf-spring rear suspension and modest power output reflect its original purpose as a frugal urban delivery vehicle for small Japanese businesses.
