About the Mazda Cosmo JC
The JC-generation Eunos Cosmo was Mazda's flagship luxury grand tourer, designed to showcase the pinnacle of rotary technology during Japan's 'bubble economy'. It remains the only production car ever fitted with a triple-rotor engine, the 20B-REW, which utilised a world-first sequential twin-turbocharging system for a production vehicle. The Type E (Executive) trim focused on supreme comfort, featuring a wrap-around leather interior and the pioneering 'Car Control System' with the world's first built-in GPS navigation. Despite its performance potential, it was exclusively paired with a four-speed automatic transmission to maintain its character as a smooth, high-speed cruiser.
