About the Maserati Ghibli AM336
Resurrecting a legendary nameplate, the second-generation Ghibli (AM336) served as the final, most refined evolution of Maserati's Biturbo platform. Designed by Marcello Gandini, it featured a muscular, high-waisted silhouette reminiscent of the Shamal flagship. While the 2.0-litre version was built for the Italian market, this 2.8-litre export model prioritised torque and drivability. Inside, it retained the traditional Maserati opulence of Connolly leather and elm wood, though its handling remained characteristically challenging near the limit. It represents the end of an era before Ferrari's takeover transformed the brand's engineering standards.
