About the Vauxhall Vectra VXR C
The Vauxhall Vectra VXR was the high-performance flagship of the Vectra C range, developed by Opel Performance Center (OPC) to challenge the Ford Mondeo ST220. For the 2007 model year, the 2.8-litre twin-scroll turbocharged V6 was upgraded from 255 PS to 280 PS, making it one of the fastest front-wheel-drive cars of its era. It featured IDSPlus2 adaptive damping and massive 345mm front brakes to manage its significant power, though it was often criticised for torque steer and understeer when pushed to the limit. Today, it is a rare sight on UK roads, valued for its straight-line pace and understated 'sleeper' aesthetic.
