About the Morgan Roadster
Introduced in 2012 to replace the 3.0-litre variant, the 3.7 V6 Roadster represents the final and most powerful iteration of Morgan's traditional ladder-chassis design. It features a Ford Cyclone engine, also found in the Mustang, providing a significant performance boost that pushes the lightweight ash-framed car toward a 300 bhp-per-tonne power-to-weight ratio. Unlike the modern aluminium-chassis Plus Six, the Roadster retains the classic sliding-pillar front suspension and leaf-spring rear, demanding a focused and physical driving style. It remains a favourite for purists seeking the vintage aesthetic paired with reliable, modern American muscle.
