About the Maserati 430
The Maserati 430 was the flagship four-door evolution of the Biturbo range, replacing the 425 with a larger 2.8-litre engine and a more rounded, aerodynamic aesthetic. It featured the 'Ranger' limited-slip differential and a luxurious interior finished in Missoni velvet or Connolly leather, complete with the signature gold Swiss clock. While early Biturbos suffered from reliability issues, the fuel-injected 430 benefited from significant mechanical refinements and water-cooled turbochargers. It remains a rare, understated executive express that offers a distinctively Italian alternative to the contemporary BMW M535i or Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.6.
