About the Morgan Plus 8
The Morgan Plus 8 remained the flagship of the Malvern-based manufacturer for decades, with the 3.9-litre fuel-injected Rover V8 variant introduced in 1990 to replace the older 3.5-litre unit. It retained the traditional separate chassis and ash wood frame construction, offering a raw, visceral driving experience characterized by a high power-to-weight ratio. The 1995 model features the R380 gearbox, which improved shift quality over earlier versions. As a collector's piece, it is prized for its timeless pre-war aesthetic paired with relatively modern, reliable mechanicals.
