About the Lancia Trevi
The Lancia Trevi, or Beta Trevi, was a traditional three-box saloon derivative of the fastback Beta Berlina, designed to appeal to more conservative buyers. While the exterior styling by Pininfarina was understated, the interior featured a radical, avant-garde dashboard designed by Mario Bellini, characterized by deep circular recesses for the controls that earned it the nickname 'Swiss cheese'. The 2.0 i.e. trim utilized the Bosch L-Jetronic fuel-injected version of the celebrated Lampredi twin-cam engine, offering improved reliability and smoother power delivery over the carburetted models. Despite its quirky interior and capable handling, the Trevi struggled to find a large audience and remains a rare, eccentric choice for Lancia collectors today.
