About the Lamborghini Silhouette
Introduced at the 1976 Geneva Motor Show, the Silhouette was Lamborghini's first production model to feature a targa top. Designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone, it was a radical evolution of the Urraco P300, featuring aggressive squared-off wheel arches and a more muscular stance. Despite its striking looks and capable 3.0-litre V8, production was cut short by Lamborghini's financial instability and the car's failure to achieve US homologation. It remains one of the rarest production Lamborghinis ever made, with only 54 units completed before it evolved into the Jalpa.
