About the Lamborghini Miura P400 SV
The P400SV (Spinto Veloce) represents the final and most refined iteration of the Lamborghini Miura. Introduced at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show, it addressed the stability issues of earlier models with a wider rear track, flared wheel arches, and revised suspension geometry. The 3.9-litre V12 was uprated to 385 hp, and later examples featured a split-sump lubrication system to separate engine and gearbox oil. Visually distinguished by the removal of the 'eyelashes' around the headlights, the SV is widely considered the most desirable and driveable version of Marcello Gandini's masterpiece.

Lamborghini Miura P400 SV fun facts
- The SV is easily identified by its lack of 'eyelashes'—the louvred trim around the headlights found on the P400 and P400S.
- Later SV models featured a split-sump system, preventing metal shavings from the gearbox from entering the engine's oil supply.
- The SV's wider rear bodywork was necessary to accommodate new 9-inch wide Campagnolo wheels and wider Pirelli Cinturato tyres.
