About the Lamborghini Jalpa

Introduced at the 1981 Geneva Motor Show, the Jalpa was Lamborghini's final attempt at a V8-powered entry-level model before the Urus. Designed by Bertone, it was an evolution of the Silhouette, featuring a more tractable 3.5-litre engine and improved visibility compared to the flagship Countach. The Jalpa offered a more user-friendly driving experience with a targa roof and a gated manual shifter, though it retained the heavy steering characteristic of the era. Despite its rarity today, it remains a significant piece of Lamborghini history as the last of the 'baby Lambos' until the Gallardo arrived fifteen years later.
