About the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 X760
Developed by Jaguar's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO), the Project 8 is a radical re-engineering of the XE, sharing only the roof and front door skins with the standard car. It features a hand-assembled 600PS supercharged V8, carbon-ceramic brakes, and motorsport-derived suspension with adjustable ride height. The car famously held the Nürburgring Nordschleife record for four-door production cars with a lap time of 7:21.23. Despite its saloon body, it drives with the aggression and precision of a dedicated track car, offered in both four-seat and two-seat 'Track Pack' configurations.

Jaguar XE SV Project 8 X760 fun facts
- The Project 8 was the first Jaguar to feature a dedicated 'Track Mode', which adjusts the driveline and stability control for circuit use.
- To accommodate the massive 305-section rear tyres, SVO engineers had to flare the aluminium wheel arches by 55mm and move the headlights forward.
- Every example was hand-built in left-hand drive only, regardless of the market, due to the packaging requirements of the engine and steering system.
