About the Jaguar SS 100

The SS 100 was the first model to bear the Jaguar name, evolving from the side-valve SS 90 into a potent overhead-valve sports car. Designed by Sir William Lyons, its sweeping wings and low-slung stance made it one of the most beautiful cars of the 1930s. The 2.5-litre variant utilised a Standard-derived straight-six with a Weslake-designed head, offering spirited performance that established the brand's sporting credentials. Today, it is a blue-chip collector car, highly eligible for prestigious events like the Mille Miglia.
