About the Hyundai i30 PD
The third-generation Hyundai i30, codenamed PD, represented a significant step forward in perceived quality and refinement for the Korean brand. Developed at Hyundai's European technical centre in Germany and tested extensively on the Nürburgring, it was aimed directly at established European rivals like the Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf. The 1.0-litre T-GDi three-cylinder engine provides a balance of efficiency and adequate performance for urban environments. The SE Nav trim was a popular mid-range choice, offering a comprehensive suite of technology including an 8-inch touchscreen and integrated satellite navigation as standard.
