About the Chrysler Delta
The Chrysler Delta was a result of the Fiat-Chrysler alliance, essentially a third-generation Lancia Delta rebadged for the UK market where the Lancia brand had long been absent. It aimed to offer D-segment luxury and space in a C-segment footprint, featuring a long wheelbase that provided class-leading rear legroom and a sliding rear bench. Despite its distinctive Italian styling and comfortable ride, it struggled to compete with established rivals like the Volkswagen Golf and was withdrawn from the UK after only three years. Today, it remains a rare and quirky alternative for those seeking a plush, unconventional family hatchback.

Chrysler Delta fun facts
- The Chrysler Delta is actually an Italian Lancia Delta III, rebadged specifically for the UK and Ireland because Lancia had no dealer network there.
- It features a 'Magic Parking' system and a sliding rear seat that can prioritize either limousine-like legroom or a larger 465-litre boot.
- Fewer than 1,000 units were sold in the UK before Chrysler axed the model in 2014 due to poor commercial performance.
