About the Honda NSX NC1
The second-generation NSX (NC1) arrived over a decade after the original, trading mechanical simplicity for a complex 'Sport Hybrid SH-AWD' powertrain. Developed primarily in the US and hand-built in Ohio, it features a bespoke 75-degree twin-turbo V6 and three electric motors that provide torque vectoring and immediate response. While it lacks the raw analog feel of its predecessor, it offers immense daily usability and sophisticated handling that rivals contemporary European supercars. Production was relatively low, ending in 2022 with the limited Type S, making early examples a unique entry point into hybrid performance.
