About the Honda Integra DC5
The DC5-generation Honda Integra, launched in 2001, marked a significant shift for the nameplate by adopting the K-series engine and a more substantial, refined body. While the Type R variant captured the headlines, the 2.0 i-VTEC (known as the 'iS' in Japan) served as the balanced entry point, offering a more compliant ride and daily usability. It features the K20A3 engine, which uses a version of i-VTEC tuned for mid-range torque rather than the high-rpm scream of its performance siblings. Though it lacks the Brembo brakes and LSD of the Type R, it remains a respected enthusiast choice for its sharp handling and legendary Honda reliability.
