About the Mitsubishi RVR

The second-generation Mitsubishi RVR, launched in 1997, refined the 'tall wagon' concept that bridged the gap between hatchbacks and SUVs. This 2.4-litre variant featured Mitsubishi's pioneering Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) technology, designed to improve fuel efficiency and torque. Known for its unique three-door layout—featuring a single sliding door on the passenger side—it offered exceptional interior flexibility and a high seating position. While primarily a Japanese domestic market (JDM) staple, it gained a cult following globally as a practical, quirky alternative to traditional compact cars.
