About the Honda Accord Type R CH1
Developed specifically for the European market, the CH1-generation Accord Type R is one of the most focused front-wheel-drive saloons ever produced. It features a hand-finished H22A7 'Red Top' engine, a stiffened chassis with extra strengthening, and a helical limited-slip differential as standard. Inside, the cabin is stripped of sound deadening and fitted with Recaro bucket seats and a Momo steering wheel. While often overshadowed by the Integra and Civic Type Rs, the Accord is increasingly prized by collectors for its touring-car-derived handling and raw, high-revving character.
